UltraShape is a very safe, reliable and pain free procedure. First, Dr. Gidon will discuss the UltraShape procedure and decide if it is right for you. She will mark the target areas, take measurements and weigh you. You then lie down on a comfortable air mattress and the computerized, state of the art technology of UltraShape takes over. During the treatment, a contact oil is applied over the treatment area and the transducer is moved across the area. Ultrasonic waves target the fat cells (adipocytes) under the skin. The fat cells are ruptured without harming surrounding tissue such as blood vessels, nerves, muscle, collagen or skin. The released fat is then cleared by the body's normal metabolic pathways.
